HOW TO BE COURAGEOUS. HOW TO HAVE COURAGE. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. HOW TO BE MORE COURAGEOUS. BE COURAGEOUS.
Today the world is full of people who lack courage in one or another way. The courage that we are talking of is not necessarily the one shown by an army troop on the battlefield or a snake charmer in open ground, we are talking of every type of courage a person can imagine or see in this world. Believe it or not, a student of class 10th requires courage on his terms as well as an employee at a space research organization, courage can not be attributed as a need of any individual but is needed by everyone around us.
Courage is often known as the first step in the journey of one’s ambitions and goals. Consider an example, there is a policeman and he has just got to know about a terrorist being reported to enter his area of jurisdiction, he is reported to be heavily armed and is disguised as somebody else. Now the policeman requires nothing but courage as the first weapon to initiate the task of leading the search operation for the terrorist.
On the other hand, the same policeman has a son who has just graduated and has to decide to appear for a competitive exam for this year. Now the child needs to have the courage to place confidence in his abilities and knowledge so that he can invest his complete year to score good marks in the exam he chooses.
In the above example, there are two parties in the same family but the meaning of courage is different for both of them because of their roles and duties. We need to understand the same strand of thought that various factors may change the meaning of courage for an individual but the need for the same cannot be refuted for even a single life on earth, not for even an infant. In today’s article, we seek to make you familiar with how to be courageous, stay glued to your screens!
- REVISE YOUR STRENGTHS
It is worth mentioning that all of us have got some weaknesses and some strengths, some of them both are attained while we grow up and some of them are innate to us. It doesn’t matter at what stage of your life you read this article, you need to revisit your strengths to gather courage and this may seem a bit tiresome to some people but is one of the simplest methods to gather courage in a short period.
You must not overlook even your seemingly smallest strengths because the strength that you call insignificant today, may well be the driving force of your future anytime soon. When we recollect what are our good points, we instill a belief in ourselves that we are not worthless and are capable of doing something worthwhile even if we have to learn a lot of lessons.
Our strengths, whatever they may be, are the healing potions for our body when we see them as a support system in our life. It is never advised to forget your weaknesses because let us be sane enough to admit that if we forget our weaknesses for what purpose we are getting courage other than to work on our weaknesses while we walk towards our dream. Remember that when the sailor faces rough weather, he never looks for the starting point but maneuvers his way through the waves.
- PUSH THE FEAR OUT
All of us are afraid of the tomorrow we are going to see, right? But can we control our future? NO, and that is why we are ought to work hard today and stop being anxious about the future. In the same way, when we are attempting a particular task, we might be afraid of the outcome of it, hundreds of questions might spring into our minds and we are at risk of being almost petrified but we need to remember what we just discussed, we cannot control the outcome but we can do our best in the present and that is what will be the deciding factor of the result.
The illogical fear of being a failure at the end of the day is something that we can easily come across while talking to people. The fear drives you to the wrong path and makes you stall all your activities and brain for a specified amount of time and in that time frame you are very likely to decide the fate of your job or task at hand.
The moment you drive out the fear of failing in a test or job, you feel like you are here to play your role and that is to be devoted and dedicated to your duties and that is what will encourage you to calmly and effectively complete the whole task with the desirable efficacy. Fear kills the warrior inside you and takes out every pinch of self-belief to the remote grounds where you can’t see them.
- REMEMBER THE GOAL
Whenever a person feels that he is lacking the courage to walk the path that he wants to or he desires to, the same person should envision his ultimate goal this act is so powerful to inject you with the required courage that even days-long lessons cannot do the same. Even if one experiences a complete drain out of courage at an instance in his life, one should not forget the reason why he/she chose to walk the path he/she is currently on.
The goal we had for ourselves since we were a teenager matters a lot at times when we are robbed of courage and determination to continue the struggle in life that nearly everyone faces while pursuing their dreams and goals.
However tough a dream or goal may seem to you at present, but if your heart has called you to pursue it, you should not look at the other parameters and start to run down that path of your life and when someday down the road you feel bogged down, and without courage, you feel you should not continue to walk further because it may be a little too risky for you, recall your dream and say it out loud to yourself so that your mind tells every part of your body to be courageous enough to at least complete the journey without thinking of the risks in the middle of it.
- OPPORTUNITIES ARE MANY
One may feel that if one fails at a particular task or job, he/she has no other choice but to repent for the failure for whole life. This is not true in any of the senses, the world we live in is so much intertwined that if one door closes for a person another one opens not because it had to but because the individual deserves to get another chance at something the person is passionate about.
Being discouraged by the fact that one may fail at the end of the day and the attempt will be infructuous to the eyes of the world is foolhardy in various proportions. Consider an example of a UPSC aspirant in India, the person prepares rigorously to face nearly a million other candidates for the whole year or even more than that and still faces the risk of not being selected for the service.
Does he stop at that fact? NO, rather he realizes that he may fail this year but he can learn from his failure and bounce back in his second attempt next year. Moreover, he may not even qualify for the services next year but then he has a lot of other opportunities that he can rely on to service the society as well as be employed in a respectful organization.
Gathering courage may seem to be the toughest task on earth to some people but the moment you try to drive out the fears and procrastinations inside your heart and brain, you will see that you have enough courage to continue with what you called is your passion.
There may be a lot of bumps in the journey to your dreams but you should not pull yourself back and take down your spirit of competition because everybody here faces the challenge of being a “failure” and being a “burden” to society, that does not mean everybody will sit back and let the ghost of imagination haunt them.
Courage comes from the feeling that you have earned the right to be a participant in the battlefield many people even fail to stand in, you may feel that the battlefield is full of smart and strong fighters but you also need to pay attention to the fact that all of these smart and strong fighters have walked a long path and faced numerous challenges without being discouraged to earn that designation in your eyes.
Courage is a must-have for embarking on your journey into the wild waters of chasing your dreams, lacking it will make you feel you are without a crucial lifeline in the mid of the ocean and have got no other way than to bail out of the journey.
