Actions here denote respecting one’s superiors, talking politely and being friendly.

There is an important aspect here, which is Communication. While the actions are described above, the reactions to your actions are determined by the way you communicate. A polite and friendly way of communicating is of utmost importance. More importantly, respect everyone in your words, even if you do not like them personally. No ill taking and above all, no back talk. These two can destroy your career, and must be avoided at all costs. Try to earn a good name among your colleagues with your talk and actions.

Professionalism lies in everything – the way you talk, how punctual you are, finishing your work on time, and respecting everyone.

As stated above, great businessmen and CEO’s have begun their career as an employee. But their career growth leading to occupy some of the best positions in the organization hierarchy did not occur only due to developing leadership skills. It was based on another important skill that they possessed. They were ‘solution seekers’.

We all are aware of the problems surrounding us. We see and read about it. But there are only very few who just does not stop there and seek to find a solution. Though hard it may be, they succeed in that. A great example is Google Chrome, the idea for which was proposed by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who, at that time was Product Chief. Had he not found a solution and a better alternative to Microsoft browser and Mozilla Firefox, Google would not have grown to this extent and so is his growth.
Problems finding is a relatively easier task that can be done by mere observing. Whereas Solution Seeking is the real challenge as it takes us a step forward, be it in the development of company or mankind itself. So, always strive to be a Solution Seeker rather than a Problem finder.
