The most important choice you will ever make is choosing a life partner, which is much more important than choosing a career, house, or group of friends. Every night you have to sleep beside him or her and you have to love them even when you are tired and wrinkly.

Meanwhile, we have lived with our parents from birth to adolescence but we will have to spend our entire life with our husband or wife that means from adolescence to the rest of our life. This means that we live with our life partner at least half a lifetime and sometimes two-thirds of our lives.

A matter of fact is that we worry about our lives. What if we don’t get that perfect partner we dream of? What if we don’t find the qualities of a good life partner in that person. What if that partner makes my life hell? Will he or she have anything in common? Will he or she understand my culture, my ambition, my dreams, my feelings, etc? These questions haunt people day & night. There is nothing perfect in this universe or we can say everything in this universe is perfectly imperfect.

We all know that no one is ideal every one has their own strength and their own weaknesses. Their strength and weaknesses depend on two things the books they have read and the people they have met. Moreover, it does not remain the same it changes with time as we are constantly interacting with other individuals and constantly reading books.

When we are choosing a life partner the only thing which we are looking for is living happily. Now we have to understand one thing which is to live happily it’s not just about the other partner, it’s about us also. If two people fight then both of them are equally responsible. Even if one person has a higher mindset then there will be no fight. To make a sound both hands must be at the same level, If one hand is at a higher level then there will be no sound.

Now people with a higher mindset (skill, attitude, and character) will live happily together. So the first thing is we all must work to grow our mindset so that we can live happily with any individual.

But now when we are selecting our life partner we are getting an opportunity to select among a few options. Obviously, if we have a higher mindset individual as our life partner then it is an added advantage. So when we are choosing a life partner so that we can live happily together then we must choose someone with a higher mindset which is a higher skill, attitude, and character.

These qualities of a good life partner should be ethical & permanent not materialistic & non-permanent things. For example how much dowry we are getting or whether the partner is slim or fat these all things are temporary. Mindset (skill, attitude, and character) is permanent and we must look for that if we want to be happy.

Most of us have a long list of attributes that define our ideal partner qualities, from the general characteristics of the clever, sweet, funny, and adventurous, to the ability to understand specific skills and interests, such as good cook. We keep it very vague because we don’t know what qualities a higher mindset individual has?

So now the question is how to choose an ideal partner? What should we expect in our ideal life partner? What are the ideal partner qualities? When we are looking for an ideal life partner we have to understand one thing that not all are perfect. But one good thing about human beings is they grow themselves. But to grow mindset one needs a good learning attitude. So if your partner has a good learning attitude then even if you do not have all the ideal qualities then also they can develop it. They just have to read good books and be with higher mindset people. So I believe if your partner has a good learning attitude which is he or she enjoys learning then it is a very big advantage.

A kind person tries to understand the needs of other individuals and do help them. If a person is kind he will always be empathetic to other’s feelings. Kindness sticks couples together which means kindness is an agent that binds a couple together. Every partner feels special, valued, and validated by kindness. Kindness allows them to feel cherished.

Now kindness is something which one can develop also. You can see kindness as a muscle. Many people naturally have stronger muscles than others; however, they can become stronger with exercise. You know that you need to work to sustain it.

Let’s understand what is ego. If someone thinks that he is better than others that person is an egoistic person and because of this, they are not able to handle a negative statement. So an egoistic person is easily affected by negative statements. This can cause an enormous disturbance in your life particularly with your closest relationships if you allow your ego to go untouched.

The ego is about controlling the way of giving and receiving affection because the egoistic person thinks that he must receive affection but he is not liable to give. The ego uses various negative approaches to defend itself. Ego products are all negative emotions, such as rage, frustration, fear, and envy. When there is an ego in a relationship then love can’t exist there because in love all are the same. Love & ego are like those lions which can’t live in a jungle together.

The partnership will be wavering without it and inevitably will collapse. The biggest reason why partnerships fail is that lack of trust means that you don’t believe that you feel safe and committed to your partner. A trustworthy person can be the safest partner for life.

Trust build up when you are honest. An honest person always trusts worthy. We must always say the truth and must never say lie to anyone if we want to build a healthy relationship.

The complexity of intricacy is also manifestations of life without fulfillment or anxiety. When you simplify things, you will have a life full of meaning, a life lived in your own way. You have room and space for your passions and for the life that you really want.

Sometimes, we find true joy in the simplest stuff. Once you are both easy and meaningful, the relationships are deeper and meaningful. When your life is simpler, it is easier to concentrate on the other guy. The conversation is also more genuine as you don’t have to please them. Choose a simple partner in your life.

A simple and down-to-earth person is content with himself. As he is content he has time to think about others. If a person has a lot of expectations then he will always be behind that and will not have time for a relationship.

There are many cases where a family broke down into pieces or came on the road due to the lack of proper management of wealth. Qualities to look for in a life partner: A person who has an original personality, not a fake personality has ideal life partner qualities-

The reason for whether you have chemistry with the other person or not is his or her personality. You may attract the other person physically, but over time the attraction fades. The relationship gives persevering strength to personality. If the personality of the person is not original then that person is not trustworthy. A fake personality is like acting. One cannot act for a lifetime.

A fake personality fades away with time & so does the love. You always love the personality of the person. If the personality is fake then you were in love with a different person. These are the qualities to look into a life partner. These traits cannot always be in a single person but if the person has most of these traits then he or she is good partner material and most importantly if he has a learning attitude then he or she will become better with time. Remember no one can be perfect & no one can show all these traits every time.

Just because a person does not have some of the qualities mentioned above does not make him or her a bad partner. People change for love. People adapt to different things for the sake of love. The traits mentioned above are secondary in the list of importance if you yourself are good then you can influence your partner to grow and become better. Your actions decide how your environment will be.

Now if you are a married individual then first do self-introspection and find out which one do you lack in. First, try to improve yourself. We can change others only by changing ourselves. If we become better, seeing us others will get motivated and they would also want to be like us.
